ZAXXON - Atari ST
Atari ST port by TjLaZer 2026

A port of Sega's 1982 isometric arcade shooter, built from the original
arcade game code. Fly through the enemy fortress, dodge walls and force
fields, destroy fuel tanks to keep your fuel up, then take on the enemy fleet
in outer space and face the Zaxxon robot.

Requirements

* Atari ST with a blitter: Mega ST, STE or Mega STE
* Color monitor or TV (low resolution)
* 512K minimum, 1MB recommended
* Mega STE: runs at 16 MHz with cache, restored on exit

Features

* Arcade graphics in 16 colors, with blitter-drawn scrolling and sprites
* Scores, fuel gauge, lives and flags in a side panel
* YM2149 sound effects
* 50/60 Hz switch on all STs
* Pause key
* Bootable disk: starts automatically from the AUTO folder, or run ZAXXON.PRG
from the desktop

Zaxxon V1.0 initial version
Zaxxon V1.1 big speed improvements, but required 1MB
Zaxxon V1.2 big speed improvements, back to 512k! Added ASDW and SPACE as
keyboard options.
Zaxxon V1.3 fixed demo starting too quick, now it starts at 20 seconds. Giving
you time to select options and start game normal.
Zaxxon V1.4 fixed centering text on menu and screen glitch when starting game
Zaxxon V1.5 fixed high score entry bug
